Davide ZappacostaChelsea have agreed a deal sign Torino right wing-back Davide Zappacosta for more than £23million, according to reports in Italy.

Sky Italia claim the 25-year-old is on his way to London for a medical after terms were agreed with Torino and the player, who will sign a four-year deal.

Davide Zappacosta, who can also operate at right-back, has four caps for Italy and was initially called into the Azzurri squad by Blues boss Antonio Conte.

He did not make the manager’s final cut for Euro 2016 but Conte and his staff have been following his progress in Italy, where he made 25 starts and scored one Serie A goal last season.

The Chelsea boss wants competition at right-wing back, having failed to secure a deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Torino are set to more than quadruple their investment on the player, who cost them just under £5million two years ago.
